WSDOT Hood Canal Bridge Water Shuttle Questionnaire
The Seattle2PT campaign working with local officals, has submitted a letter of support for an alternate passenger route during the closure of the Hood Canal Bridge.
The current proposal would cost the state 8 million dollars to build infrastructure for a PO ferry between Lofall and Port Gamble. We think this is a waste of money and an alternate between Jefferson County and Kitsap Co directly is the more sensible option and would cost little or no money.
In response, WSDOT has posted an online survey, be sure to take a few minutes and voice your opinion.

Please note the following corrections to your May 27th posting:
The cost proposal for South Point to Lofall would cost the state $5 million dollars to build infrastructure for a PO ferry between Lofall and Port Gamble and $5 million dollars to operate the water shuttle and transit services.
The cost proposal for Port Ludlow to Kingston is unknown but will include costs for leases, parking and infrastructure improvements and $6.5 million dollars to operate the water shuttle and transit services.
